A Retrospect Of British Cinema
The United States, France, Germany, Japan, Italy. The list goes on. All countries that boast a powerful and effective ability to create movie masterpieces, from 'The Godfather' to 'Jaws', 'Bicycle Thieves' to 'Seven Samurai'. But what about Britain? With historical epics, gritty dramas, dark comedies, suave spies and boy wizards, the UK has a rich heritage in film. I set out months ago to create a short montage featuring the best of British cinema, however over time that montage transformed into a six minute film that delves into the history of cinema in the UK, featuring 80 films, spanning 80 years (1935-2015). I hope you enjoy watching this as much as I did making it. Thank you. "Fuori Dal Mondo" by Ludovico Einaudi (from 'This Is England') "Building The Crate" by John Powell and Harry Gregson-Williams (from 'Chicken Run') "Lost But Won" by Hans Zimmer (from 'Rush')
