Beauty and the Beast 3rd - 6th July, Theatre Royal, Bury St Edmunds
Step into the magical world of Disney, with this iconic tale based on the Academy Award-winning animated feature. The stage musical features the unforgettable score written by Alan Menken including ‘Belle’. ‘Gaston’, ‘Be Our Guest’, and of course the title song, ‘Beauty and the Beast’.
This classic story tells of Belle, a young woman living in a provincial town, and the Beast, a young prince trapped under the spell of an enchantress. If the Beast can learn to love another and earn their love in return the curse will be broken. If not, he will be doomed to remain a Beast for all time. As the years pass, he falls deeper into despair, losing all hope – if he does not learn his lesson soon, he and his household will be doomed for all eternity. But who could ever learn to love a Beast?
Fall under the spell of the ‘Tale as Old as Time’ this summer with its dazzling production numbers and spectacular costumes. Reminding us all that beauty is found within, this show is a family favourite for all ages and is one not to be missed!
