Teacher of Sociology
We are looking to appoint a full or part time permanent teacher of Sociology (experience of teaching other disciplines such as psychology; health & social care or citizenship would be welcomed) from September 2025. The post is suitable for an Early Career Teacher (ECT) or a more experienced teacher. There may be a responsibility point available for leading the subject for the right candidate.
For an informal chat with the Headteachers, please call either Sarah Gray (07910 888807) or Geoff Luxton (07593 924333). The heads are happy to be contacted over the Easter holidays or call their PA, Gail Clay on 01379 870315 or clayg@hartismere.com.
There is no set closing date. We will hold interviews when we have received enough applications from suitably qualified applicants. If a successful appointment is not made then we will repeat the process.
We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and adults and expect all staff to share this commitment. A DBS and social media checks will be required.
Application form available on the school's website.
