BACK TO THE FUTURE - SCHOOL TRIP TO LONDON FOR YEAR 7, 8, 9 AND 10 PUPILS

THURSDAY 5th June 2025

I have booked seats to see the matinee of the stage show “Back to the future”, at the Adelphi

Theatre in London’s West End on Thursday 5th JUNE 2025. The cost of the ticket and coach

fare is £61.00 inclusive.

This is a very popular show, and we anticipate that tickets will be in high demand. If the trip is

oversubscribed, names will be randomly selected. Pupils will be informed by letter including travel

details if they have or have not been given a place on the trip.

If your child would like to apply for a place, our preferred method of payment is by ParentPay and no other paperwork will need to be completed. Alternatively, you can pay by cheque (payable to Hartismere school) please enclose this with the reply slip and the consent form in an envelope marked “Back to the Future”, which pupils should hand in via the post boxes at pupil services or in the maths corridor. (A place will not be reserved until payment has been received). If your child changes their mind and no longer wish to go on the trip, we require at least 7 days prior notice. If we can fill the place, we will refund the cost.  If we are not able to fill the place or notice is less than 7 working days no refund will be given.  If they are ill and unable to go on the trip, we are unable to provide a refund. The closing date is Friday 14th February 2025.

Yours faithfully

Synopsis and reviews:

When Marty McFly finds himself transported back to 1955 in a time machine built by the eccentric scientist Doc Brown, he accidentally changes the course of history. Now he's in a race against time to fix the present, escape the past and send himself... back to the future.

Trip Advisor:

This is ,without a doubt, the best musical I have ever seen. It just outstanding. The songs are brilliant. The acting is superb.

Time Out:

Every scene is a showstopper, bedaubed with backing dancers and Tim Hatley’s ever-changing, retina-searing sets. It’s a relentless rush, with almost no breathing space, and it feels heavily predicated on the idea that you already know Marty from the film, where his character is eased in far more gradually.

The Guardian

This is a splashy theatre-film mashup, with gravity-defying effects, cute quirks and offbeat gags. The Car is a star!
